In 2022 – As the Red Wave fizzled in Arizona, we were still able to elect 30 clients to offices all across the state. Many of them were heavily outspent, as out-of-state left-wing groups poured millions of dollars into our races. Victories in tough swing districts helped the GOP to maintain control of the State Legislature, where 27 of the 47 Republicans are Grassroots clients. We also did additional work with IE efforts to protect vulnerable GOP candidates. Once again, both the Senate President and House Speaker are outstanding conservatives, and clients of ours.
In 2020 – Out-of-state liberal money flooded Arizona in an effort to capture the Legislature for Democrats, and many of our clients were among their top targets. In spite of being dramatically outspent, 26 of our 29 candidates won their general election matchups, in addition to several tough primary wins as well. We also worked with Independent Expenditure groups to defend Democrat targets like the seats in Legislative District 6, and to target a Democrat-held seat in Legislative District 4 that the GOP candidate prevailed in. Our victories, whether at the state, county, or city level, helped keep Arizona on the “right” path.
In 2018 – Facing the “Blue Wave” that was making its way across the country, we helped 26 of our 29 candidates win their general election matchups, including several races that were among the top Democrat targets. We won 15 of 18 contested primaries as well. Working with the House Victory PAC and Senate Victory PAC we also did independent expenditure work that preserved Republican majorities in both the State House and State Senate, in spite of millions of dollars of outside spending on behalf of Democrat candidates.
In 2016 – In the most unusual and unpredictable cycle in memory, and with Democrats bragging about their impending takeovers of Republican majorities, we were able to elect or re-elect 35 great men and women to office this year, as Constables, City Councilmen, Mayors, State Representatives or Senators, even County Supervisors. Our clients were elected as House Speaker and Majority Whip, as well as Senate President, Majority Leader, and Majority Whip. Remarkably, with Republicans now holding 52 Legislative seats, we helped to elect 28 of them this cycle, not including other former clients who are still serving in the Legislature. We also did IE work that helped preserve the GOP’s Senate Majority and House Majority.
In 2014 – In a challenging environment where many of our clients were outspent by 3 to 1 or more, we won 13 of 14 contested legislative primaries, with our one loss coming by only 32 votes. We defeated an incumbent legislator and also scored the night’s biggest upset with the victory of Jay Lawrence in LD23. In addition to legislative seats, we won races for a variety of other offices, including City Council, Constable, and Justice of the Peace. The general election brought more success as we won 16 of 17 general election contests and successfully managed the IE efforts for both the House Victory PAC and the Senate Victory PAC.
In 2012 – In spite of a hijacked redistricting process that saw a number of Republicans drawn out of their respective districts, our clients still won 24 of 27 races in the general election. Those victories were not limited to the State Capitol, as we successfully elected conservatives to County Supervisor seats in Yuma and Pinal County and the Mayor’s Office in Glendale as well.
In 2010 – Our record took the next step as our clients won 17 of 20 contested primaries and were undefeated in all 28 general election contests. Our clients captured three Democrat State Senate seats and helped the Republican Party claim super majorities in both the State House and State Senate for the first time in our state’s history. Following that historic sweep, nearly half of all Republicans in the Arizona Legislature were clients, a level of success without precedent in Arizona history.
In 2008 – Our State Legislative clients were undefeated in contested primaries (nine for nine) and went on to win an impressive fourteen of seventeen races in the general election.
In 2006 – Among other important races, we had the honor of being hired to help re-elect Jim Weiers, the Speaker of the House, very late in the cycle. He found himself running third in a race where only the top two would get elected. And with Arizona Democrats smelling blood, he found himself on the receiving end of a steady barrage of negative attacks. We created over a dozen separate mailers to target different parts of the electorate and went to work on the phones and on the ground. On Election Day, Weiers was the top vote-getter in the district, and we were rewarded with a hard fought victory.
In 2004 – In spite of two nail biter losses, our State Legislative clients won six out of nine contested primaries and all six won their general elections as well.
Whether you are running statewide, for a federal, county or city office, or for a legislative seat, we offer an unparalleled record of success, and a commitment to conservative principles unique to Arizona politics.
